BlessaPlate.com is a online website service that was created and designed to help people. The goal of BlessaPlate.com is to accept donations from lottery winners that are willing to donate and give back to the people whose license plate numbers they played to win.
As Blessaplate grows, our vision is to help rebuild urban areas. We also plan to fund school systems for better education, nutritional meals and donate to a variety of charity foundations and awareness groups.
The Story
The idea of blessaplate.com was created when the founder was at a local gas station. While waiting to be serviced he noticed a man in distress on the phone. From the sound of the conversation, he seemed to be visiting from another state but had a family emergency back home. The gentleman explained to his wife that he did not have the money to get back home and was waiting on a loan from a family member. By this time, he was in a hurry to get out of the gas station. He goes in his pocket and gives all the money in his pocket to the cashier and says “Put this on pump 2”. The cashier counts the cash and it comes out to $28. The founder looks and notices the man’s SUV and thinks to himself $28 is not going to fill the tank or get him back home to another state. He proceeds out of the door to offer any help or assistance to the guy, but his vehicle was driving off. The founder then notices the plates on the SUV had a familiar number 1230. This number is significate to him because it is a family member’s birthday. He then decided to play those numbers in the lottery. Later on that evening, those exact same numbers came out and he won a nice amount of money. After the excitement of the win, he remembered that man in distress at the gas station. He replayed the events that happened earlier that day and remembered the guy was having financial issues. He wished there was a way to reach out and contact the guy and bless him with a donation from the money he just won. The founder benefited from a familiar number of a stranger’s license plate and thought it would be a good idea to donate back to the person who helped him not knowing he did so.
